SlimLine Single Threshold Shower Base is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected. This shower base worked as expected. No complaints from my installer. It does NOT flex when you stand on it and needed no additional support. It has a nice texture under your feet which also seems easy to clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for This base is not structural and relies heavily on the bed you set it in.You will not be able to set his base in regular cement of any kind or consisity. Make sure you use a Lightweight Bedding Mortar.Like: CustomFloat Bedding Mortar. Many use STRUCTO-LITE Basecoat Plaster. Dried product is 15% lighter than water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Construction Question : "Benny" commented, "You DO NOT have to use Mortar/Plaster". Then why does the Dreamline "Installation Guide" show the "Cut-Away" View mentioning Mortar/Plaster ?? I nailed mine to the Studs and have moved on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Like standing on wet blue ice Because I'm disabled, I needed to replace my tub with a safer, step-in shower. I chose this base because of its low threshold and advertised non-slip properties. However, the first time I used it, I almost fell through the glass shower doors. The base was like standing on wet blue ice. I only escaped serious injury by hauling myself out of the shower by my grad bars. Until I get a non-slip mat for the base, I'm wearing Crocs into the shower. Incredibly dangerous!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slimline Shower Base Bought it online through Lowe’s. Looked at other websites as well but Lowe’s was close to my home and had faster lead times. Center drain rectangle, white. Pretty basic. Using it for a custom dog bath that I am putting in my basement. Everything was great but the packaging made it difficult/impossible to confirm product specifications without tearing into the box. Please put a cut through panel or product information on the label, which is large and easy to read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shower base I bought this base for a tub to shower conversion. The contractor had no issues with the base installation, and so far it has functioned very well. This was installed on a slab, and the contractor filled the void under the base with with concrete to insure stability. The texture improves stability, and the low threshold is great. It has only been installed for a few months, and I hope it will last for many years.

Since there is only about 1" clearance under pan for drain where can I get a drain for that shallow of clearance? Installing on basement floor and drain pipe is cemented in flush with floor.

I have a 32x60 double threshold shower door assembly. Do i order a 32x60 or 34x60 shower base

Asked by: phillyBrq
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. If your shower enclosure is a sliding enclosure and is 32" by 60", you will need a double threshold base that measures 34" by 60". If your shower enclosure has a hinged door, you will need a 62" by 34" shower base. DreamLine does not make a shower base in those sizes, however. We would like to speak with you to discuss the specifics of your shower enclosure to better help you. We invite you to contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866-282-8413 to discuss this further. We can also be reached by sending an email to support@dreamline.com and through our Chat with Expert feature on DreamLine.com. Our hours of operation are 9am-6pm EST, Monday through Friday. What is the weight limit for the 60 x 36 pan? 300? 400?

Asked by: Sheriff Woody
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. When uninstalled, the base has a weight limit of 250 lbs. When installed to the required bed of mortar, DreamLine feels that the weight limit far exceeds this. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866.282.8413. bought slimline 36"x36" shower base. Replacing unit of same rough opening. Description states drain is centered, however the one I got is centered ONLY on the width plane, and approx 3" of in the depth dim. Is there one that is centered?

Asked by: DIYMJB
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. The third bullet point in the Description field states: Drain Location: Center (Centered on width only; See technical drawing for exact location) DreamLine does not make a base with the drain centered in both length and width. My contractor installed the SlimLine DLT-1134480. My shower door guy said the pan threshold does not pitch inward and will not install a door. What can cause this problem? Is it the installation? Do you require cement under the pan?

Asked by: KimD
Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. DreamLine bases are definitely pitched inward, on both the threshold and the base floor. The base is designed to be installed on a bed of mortar, as outlined in the installation manual. We invite you to contact our DreamLine Customer Support Team at 866-731-8378 to discuss this further. We can also be reached by sending an email to support@dreamline.com. Our hours of operation are 8am-6pm EST, Monday through Friday. Thank you for choosing DreamLine.
